    Whenever i go to the doctor , i pay him 40 euros. I was wondering if this price is set by the government or if the doctor is allowed to set his own prices?

    Doctors set their own prices. Its only if you are on a medical card or similar scheme does the government pay a fixed amount to the doctor (patient pays nothing).
