Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I have to send my laptop back to the office for repair and there are one or two items on it that I need to remove!!

I'm having a problem removing links on IE under the tools menu.

When I click on Tools, there are a list of items that you can run but two of them, ICQ and Partypoker I want to get off it. I have removed these packages using their uninstall routine and deleted their folders from the hard drive but these two links remain. When I right click I don't get an option to do anything.

Anyone have any idea how I can get these off the tools menu in IE?

IE is version 6.0 and I'm running windows 2000 PRO.

    Thanks.

Ummm, yeh, get a program called 'Hijack This', perform a System Scan, and then remove the suitable entries. Make sure you know what you are doing though: Hijack This is an advanced program.

To remove the links manually , open registry editor and goto here
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions

You will see a list of folders with alot of numbers and letters in there names
Go through the folders until you see the programs you dont want and
    delete as appropriate
