Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some bands have already confirmed on their official websites that they'll be playing at EP '06, including Massive Attack and I think Saul Williams.

Does anyone know when an announcement will be made? When was it made last year? I've heard rumours of Radiohead and New Order?

Sounds like one of Richard D James' monikers.

Daft Punk would seal the deal for me, seems like Oxegen pre-empted EP this year by signing up Erol Alkan and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!

my thoughts exactly! yeah daft punk would seal the deal for me too, they're touring this summer so it's not unlikely that they'd be there

Daft Punk will not be playing EP. They are only doing five shows this year and they won't be playing EP as part of those shows.

    i seriously doubt it.

any band that play oxygen are made sign a contract by MCD that makes them bound to not playing any other event in the country 6 months before and after oxegen. this is because MCD are kuntz and so that a popular act wont take away from theire ticket sales by say, playing Crawdaddy the week before or after.
this goes for nearly all acts afaik.

Aiken Promotions may do somethin similar. im not sure

i'd actually put money on them booking Tiga.

hopefully they try to get Erol as well, he'd definitely be some quality EP fodder:)

ditto :) they were brilliant live...although I've since got sick of the album, loved it for a few months though!

The line up is excellent, defo going again this year. My big disappointment last year was missing Lemon Jelly. I haven't seen The Orb live since '94 so I'd go for them alone - they put on some show.

Keep an eye out this coming Thursday 23rd when the line-up is announced:)

Well, I was talking to the two chaps in Galway last weekend when they played in the vic, and they said they were playing both gigs.

True that MCD do get acts to sign a contract but is it hell for 6 months before and after! More like 1 month or the month in question (July for Oxegen) This I know because when asking a DJ's agent if the DJ could play for a gig in July he said that he couldn't due to playing Oxegen, but August was O.K for him.
