Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

1-0, great McFadden strike from a great Beattie knock down. Everton just cleared off the line three times in 30 seconds.

    Great game so far.

Sounds entertaining, those clearences off the line are the kind of luck you get when youre in good form, everton got none at the start of the season (step forward that baldy headed twat Collina)

2-0, Cahill after some woeful defending from a Neville long throw and a scramble. Beattie and McFadden again involved.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,074 ✭✭✭damo

    Nice one Tim.

McFadden is really hitting some form after 2 years of Kilbane-for-Ireland-under-Mick type woeful performances.

I've always liked McFadden, think he's a real class act. Saw him score and create three against Bray a couple of years back, and he created some other great chances that night too.

I was at that Bray match...but come on that was Bray in fairness, even Franny Jeffers scored twice that night, remember the chants of Arsenal reject!

Dunno McFadden has frustrated the hell out of me up until recently.

3-0, Osman. Everton are on fire!

I just remember coming away thinking how class he was. He stuck out above every other Everton player that night. Can't argue with 1 goal and 3 assists from just 4 goals.

Doing very well today, created another good chance for Beatties attempted lob. Beattie is staking his claim for a place in the England squad.

At the moment I'd have Rooney, Owen, Beattie and Bent.

For sure: Beats and Philly P. Neviller for Englands world cup squad.

Wow football feels good again after Evertons start to the season coupled with the end of Kerrs reign for Ireland....that was a tough tough time for Irish Evertonians eh

    3-1 Agbonlahor.

You have to feel for Dave O'Leary though, Smallest squad in the premiership AND the cheapest chairman! The sooner the better they get rid of Ellis, then maybe they will have a couple of quid to spend.

And the fans expect him to get into europe on that budget!

I'm absolutly delighted that Agbonlahor scored on his debut, everyone around the club have been talking about him for years and hopefully he can come good.

Villa's squad is just too small, at least Ellis is going to sell now.

He found the corner but Richard Wright's goalkeeping was woeful.

Scored the winner against Everton reserves during the week, there's a trivia question for you.

Corner flags beware! 4-1, Cahill. McFadden with a cracking assist again.

Thanks for that, i just sent it in an email to the Moyesiah, i assume he'll use it possibly as a motivation tool for the squad to keep their fine run going.*

    1. Richard Wright - 7

    22. Tony Hibbert - 7

    5. David Weir - 7

    15. Alan Stubbs - 8

    3. Gary Naysmith - 7

    21. Leon Osman - 8

    18. Phil Neville - 9

    17. Tim Cahill - 9

    6. Mikel Arteta - 8

    8. James Beattie - 9

    11. James McFadden - 9

    I'd give every Villa player a 6!

I would agree with all the Villa players getting a six except Mellberg, I think he has lost it as a centre half, innefective in everygame I have seen this season.

evilhomer, Mellberg is the only defender we have, he wasn't fully fit today and play anyway. The reason Mellberg hasn't looked good this season is because he hasn't had a decent defender playing along side him. Mellberg is solid we just need another center back to play along side him.

Unless you can get Laursen fit, I don't see much chance of that with cheap skate Ellis in charge upstairs. I know he was injured and all that but he really hasn't looked as commanding as a centre-half as he did the last few seasons. even without a good partner he shouldn't loose his leadership qualities.

I'd have to disagree with you Mellberg has been just about the only Leader we have on the pitch all season. Laursen will be back next season and young Cahill will also be back but we need to buy a few decent players.

Ellis is leaving he has finally decided to let of the club it's just a matter of who and when.

Are the Irish brothers still set to buy the club?
