what cars in teh UK are Uk vat qualifying

Hi guys im bringing back a car from teh uk and im buying from a toyota dealer hope to bring back an avensis that would be registered around september 2005 to maxmize on the warranty bit anyway im just wondering what cars qualify for Vat and if it is vat qualifying, do i pay the Vat or not since im Irish?! thanks lads

As far as I am aware, any car that is less than three months old being purchased from a dealer specifically for export qualifies.

However, if the car is less than six months old, or has less than 6,000 km on the clock you will be liable for VAT aswell as VRT when the car is imported.
