Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I downloaded a leak of the album (duh, of course I'll buy it when it actually comes out) and I have to say I'm a liiiitle disappointed. The debut completely blew me away, it's one of the best albums I own, but this doesn't show any sign of matching it.

However, it is still a great album. It rocks a lot harder than the debut, and the songs sound much tighter and have more of a live feel. The debut was obviously a labour of love, whereas this album was more businessy.

Some old live favourites have been reworked (Backstabber, Mrs O, Mandy Goes to Medschool), and the studio versions sound much better.

I had the pleasure of being one of the first to witness Sex Changes and Modern Moonlight when they were showcased in Edinburgh last summer, and they were good enough with just piano, but they're ****ing savaiste with the addition of drums. Brian is in top form as usual, especially on Modern Moonlight - it's insane. It's the closest to "Girl Anachronism" from the debut.

It's a more polished attempt but I prefer the first album. The last few songs trail off and apparently "Sing" is the first single but it's a risibly knowing attempt at an anthem. Still, it starts off well with "Sex Changes" and I really like "Dirty Business".

Of course, fate laughed at me today meaning I can't go to the gig in May, so I have 2 tickets to dispose of.

When is the new album coming out? Fate has yet to decide whether or not I can go in May... Here's hoping!

I may be interested in both of those tickets. :)
