sometime last week i was mindlessly flicking through the millions of channels my mate has, when i started watching some program called 'life on mars'. i only caught the last 20 minutes of it, but it looked really good.

its about some policeman who, in 2006, gets knocked down by a car after hearing that his girlfriend has been kidnapped. he ends up in a coma. suddenly he finds himself in the year 1973, where he's also a cop. of course he's really confused, but goes along doing his job, meanwhile he hears voices of doctors and his mother speaking to him. so he goes about solving crimes etc (which seem to relate to 2006), while also trying to get back to 2006. confusing!!!! but it seems good! anyone been watching it?

Excellent series. That was the last one AFAIK although I did see it being "signed" for the hard of hearing in the wee small hours. Touch of the Sweeney about it. No doubt it'll be repeated in the summer.

I missed the last few eps after I started to get into it. Does it all get resolved or is does it leave it open for a continuation?

go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/lifeonmars/ for info on each episode. it resolves some of the issues, but not all...theres going to be a second series, but not until 2007.

The series is being repeated nightly on BBC 4 from Sunday 2nd April.

Check the listings though as they are also showing a different programme around the same time called Life on Mars that is actually about life on Mars.

Looks like it's being repeated on BBC4 at 10.00 every night. First episode was on again tonight.
