    [non-nerds]
this is a question about the blood and guts of UCD connect. don't worry about it
    [/non-nerds]

does anyone know what OS UCD connect runs under - Windows (because it's down for some updating) or Solaris (because it never crashes) would be my suspicions?

just trying to settle an inter-nerd argument about it.

I think UCD connect is made up of several different services that are brought together into one portal.

So you could find a mixture of OS's involved.

The mail servers that form part of this are iPlanet servers. Blackboard is run on windows OS (hence the downtime for this week).

Update: Reading from here (last paragraph) it looks like the UCD Connect Portal is run on Sun servers.

    just discovered this

just stick in site at the top and it will tell you.

    UCD uses compaq tru64
    ucdconnect uses Solaris
    And boards is using FreeBSD
