    non-broadband people note that link goes to a video that's over 20minutes long

    the video is a documentary done by g3tv's icons series about sega dreamcast. it's interesting because it seems history is repeating itself right now. except replace every reference to dreamcast in the video to xbox360.

    worth a watch imo

    Haven't watched the video, but there certainly are parallels.

    Dreamcast did well out of the blocks, but the PSOne still stayed on top, and the anticipation for the PS2 was enough to make many people wait-and-see, by which time it was too late for Sega.

    Obviously some differences too though. What with Microsoft having actual money to sign deals with the likes of EA and to market the console.
