I rang FBD yesterday because I'm looking at changing the car in the summer and wanted a rough guide on what I could/couldn't get insured on. They told me that 2006 Audi A4 2.0 TDI 170 S-Line worth €25k would cost less to insure than the Pajero:D, but they couldn't give me an exact figure for some reason!

They wont quote me on a BMW 330cd or a Golf GTI though as I'm under 25:mad:

A tip for using the Quinn Direct internet quotes, put your quote in with the cars true value, then put a quote in with the value +20%, see if it comes out cheaper. I done this with a previous car, true value was €8k and quote was €950, put in value of €10k (all other details same) quote was €900.
