automatic RSS generation with PHP?

i have being googling around for RSS/PHP information but thought i'd ask here since the internet is full of mostly diluted searches regarding information on RSS. Basically i'm wondering if its possible for a php page to automatically generate the xml required for an RSS feed. A walk thru of what i would hope is possible is…

Basically i'm wondering if its possible for a php page to automatically generate the xml required for an RSS feed. A walk thru of what i would hope is possible is as follows

a php page contains an article with fields for "title" "content" and "description"
these fields are automatically parsed to an XML page
thus creating an RSS feed

is this possible?

yes it is

basically what you need to do is.

1. create a .xml file with php
2. declare the correct headers, etc
3. for each item, do a loop and write it to the .xml file
4. save the file - tada a .xml file ready for parsing
