Yeah the Focus saloon wasn't a work of art by any means. At least the new one is quite handsome (in a suspiciously Volvo S40 kind of way....)

Funny you say that given that Volvo is owned by the Ford Motor Co.

Always liked the Bora's. Went looking for one recently and couldn't find a clean one. Most of them were well abused.

Not as loved by farmers as its Jetta or Vento ancestors (probably cos farmers can now afford jeeps)

The Jetta was great. The Vento was dire. I assume most people bitten by the Vento stayed clear of the Bora.

Was the Vento that bad? Looking back sure, but other farmers reliables of the same era included the Escort 1.8D, the awful slow Primera 2.0D and almost as slow Carina 2.0D.

I always liked the Bora. It looks very plain, but in a nice kind of way.

wait till you see the new one....

(in fairness, the Corolla isn't bad looking given that it's out since 2001)

Woeful. Handles like a boat, cheap interior, and doesn't have the reliablilty of the Jetta. We have one with about 200k on the clock, but its needed a lot more work than other cars (japanese) to keep going.

All shared with MK3 Golf......... It's not woeful compared with other cars from 1992, but it's pretty bad
