Moving to Galway for a few months

I'm moving to galway for a few months next week, I have got a place in salthill, Can any one recommend some good pubs, clubs, restaurants etc preferably where the 30somethings hang out :) Also the places to avoid, just in case!

Salthill? Pubs for 30's set? O'Reilly's and O'Connors. Comfortable, traditional, good Guinness, but not for me (younger generation).
