    anyone got one of these or know anything about them, or simmilar product?
    my car is usualy parked in a place wher i wouldent hear the alarm, this seems like a nifty device,,,feedback please,,

    that does sound expensive.there would be cheaper alternatives.

    i would think it should as the sim card size is the same so shouldnot be a problem, just email customer care.

    I have the GPS-GSM one from here

    It sends a text message when the alarm goes off, and then starts tracking the vehicle by GPS - texting you back either on a schedule (one mail per hour with readings taken every 15 mins) or you can ring it and it will return a GPS position by text to you there and then.

    Pretty good until the car gets put into a container or gets burnt out - but what would protect you from that ?

    I think it was £270 STG and it accepts Irish pay-as-you-go SIMs.

    There are some you see on Ebay that don't have GPS - they are basically cell-phones minus the display and keypad. A service-provider (BT etc) can tell you the location of every handset based on which phone mast it is currently pinging. Unfortunately none of the Irish providers give us that level of service, so don't waste your money with that. GPS is the only thing that will work in Ireland (at the moment)
