Perhaps it's a plugin that you have install that is causing the problem? I've seen a couple of situations where dud plugins have adversely affected firefox.

only have adblock and flashgot installed - thought it might have been adblock - so disabled it - but got the same result.

It's weird, because its only that thread.

I know you probably already have but have you clearded the cache?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,482 ✭✭✭RE*AC*TOR

just cleared it there - same result....

I get teh same result as reactor. Same version 1.5.01.

Tried it in firefox safe mode and it crashed as well. So it's not extension related as far as I can see.

The only thing that I can see to make this thread any different is the sig from
Lemlin, can you open any of this other posts?
Its a shot in the dark as there is no reason why you should be having an issue with this.
Have you completely closed any firefox.exe tasks in task manager by the way after clearing the cache and disabling the extensions?
I am using the same version number without and extensions.

works now. Lemlin's sig is gone so maybe that was it.

    Odd mind.

Ahh, I see, His signature was removed as it was too big....
I notice that the loading time of the page has increased dramaticilly for me now also.
Perhaps a combination of too big a signature and a slower connection caused the problems for you guys.....
    Strange all right though.
