    SAVE GREYSTONES HARBOUR

An Bord Pleanála are holding the Oral Hearing for the Greystones Marina Development on Thursday 30th, March at 10.00am in the Royal Hotel Bray.

To ensure that the Bord is aware of your views it is very important that we have a large attendance at the hearing. Any member of the public is welcome to attend and speak if they wish.

Please take the time to attend on the first and/or subsequent days of the Hearing to show your opposition. This is the last opportunity for you to have your say on the overdevelopment of the harbour area and the sale of the foreshore. Once it is gone it is gone forever.

The hearing will last about 1 week. We need 500 people minimum on day one.

    Greystones Protection and Development Association:

    Fiachra (0879890951) Evelyn (0876483191) Donal (0872431087)

Please Help Inform Your Good Neighbours of This Hearing by distributing this leaflet. http://www.footypix.com/files/GH.doc (Maybe bring NAKED MOPMAN along...great publicity!!)

I'm taking the morning off out of my holiday leave, but like it says, it goes on for a week, and there may potentially be an evening when it's open for a couple of hours or so, but this has not been confirmed.

It is important that we get as many people as possible down over he hearing so even if you can only drop in for a hour or so that will help.

Well, the Department of the Marine had nothing good to say about this cunning plan if anybody saw details of their submission to An Bord Pleanala in The Sindo today. Greystones Town Commissioners met tonight and discussed the Harbour briefly. Sean Quirke claiming that The Department of Marina's observations were incorrect and that they would put them right at the oral hearing!!! HELLLLOOO!... "EVERYBODY'S WRONG* EXCEPT FOR ME!!

Make sure and show up on Thursday or at anytime you can...the momentum is with us but nothing's certain with government departments..so drop in whenever you can, if not on Thursday then Friday or the following week.

*Greystones residents, Dept. Of Environment, Charlesland blow-ins, Dept. Of Marine, even some guy from Cuba!....all against this.

In favour...some ill advised councillors and a group of about 40 water sports enthusiasts. (one of the commissioners, Margaret O'Callaghan, was very indignant tonight about being lied to by the Council etc. about the Marina solving erosion problems),
