Hello,
I'm trying to find out if my ICS Combination equity bond is assignable to another lender as security on a new mortgage?

It is a condition on our mortgage offer that we put a lien on our bond.

When we rang to check with the ICS we were told that this was not possible. The lender would not agree to our mortgage without it so my husband rang and checked again to be told the same.

Now after 4 extremely stressful weeks of trying to find a lender that will give us this mortgage without taking the bond into account we rang again (because several lenders has asked to lean on the bond) only to be told it is possible!

Could anyone please tell me how I can find out for sure!
