There will be a quiz on in 'Against the Grain', of Wexford St., next Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Teams of four, €40 per team. Should be fun, so bring your friends and show off your genius, or ignorance, on a variety of subjects. To sweeten the deal further, there will be some prizes given out on the night.

All proceeds go towards the Scoop foundation, and our efforts in providing education to the under privileged children in our world.

Annual Table Quiz Fundraiser for the Richard Pampuri Social Club is on Thursday, 20 February 2014 in D2, Harcourt Street starting at 7.30pm.

New comedy talent Paul Flaherty will MC what promises to be a night of brain teasing entertainment!

The Club is a volunteer-run social club for members of the community with special needs. 150 members attend the social club in the St John of God centre Island Bridge on a weekly basis, where activities range from playing pool to disco dancing.

The Quiz: Every year we take 30 members away on a holiday for a week. The holiday provides the members with the chance to integrate with others, see different parts of the country and try new things. The week also provides a break for the parents and guardians. The majority of funds for the holiday are raised during our annual Table Quiz so we really appreciate any support that comes our way!!

Our monthly table quiz is back next Tuesday, March 4th with our Harry Potter table quiz. Our previous table quizzes have been a huge success with our Love/Hate and Father Ted quizzes raising funds for SpunOut.ie. Our most recent FRIENDS quiz was our most successful yet and all tables sold out.

The Harry Potter table quiz will feature questions on all 7 books with picture and video rounds on all 8 movies. We will have some great prizes so come along. I am organizing a table quiz to raise funds so I can volunteer in an orphanage called Kpawumo Childrens Home in Ghana, Africa for a month in June. Everything raised goes towards fees to the organization and getting me to Ghana.

The venue is Bobby Byrne's Pub, O Connell Avenue, Limerick.

It will take place on the Wednesday 26th of March at 8 p.m.

5 euro per person, 4 people per table.

Meet “Superman” Gavin Glynn, one of the bravest kids I know.
Gavin was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as Rhabdomyosarcoma on 19th October 2011. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a cancerous (malignant) tumour of the muscles that are attached to the bones. After being told that there was nothing more that could be done for him, Gavin has got a lifeline, namely a potentially life-saving treatment in the US. The Glynns need to raise over $450,000 to cover the cost of Gavin’s treatment there. We are organizing a table quiz in the Hilton Hotel on August 6th to raise funds to help little Gavin in his battle to beat cancer.

We hope to have 40-50 tables participating and are targeting to raise €3,000+ on the night.

It's A Table Quiz!

On Thursday August 14th we are hosting our 2nd annual First Fortnight ( http://www.firstfortnight.ie )fund-raising table quiz, and we'd love to see you there. This year's event will be hosted by comedian and Republic of Telly host Kevin McGahern. Just like last year, there will be amazing prizes for the clever-clogs, and tons of spot prizes awarded for completely random reasons as well as a huge raffle.

All of members are based in Ireland and work with CARA Projects on a voluntary basis.
