    I know this is easy but i can't remember how to cheak if a varible is in int can anyone help thanks

    I am not sure about visual basic 6 but to do it in visual basic.NET it would be

    Dim myInt as integer
    Dim myType as system.type

    myType = myInt.GetType

    If myType = System.Int32 Then
    'code to be executed if myInt is an integer
    End If

    you can use TypeName returns the Type of the object
