Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi i am using eircom netopia broadband, i am using usb to my computer because i dont have a ethernet input.
    My usb is usb 1,
    1) if i got usb 2 would my download's be faster?
    2) if i got ethernet would my downloads be faster?
    3) which would give me the best speed rather my usb1 now or change to usb2 or get a ethernet input?

    Thanks

Neither would increase your download speeds.

    Simple answer :)

USB 1.1 Fullspeed runs at 12 mbps, so unless you have a very old machine (most machines have had ethernet as a standard feature for years) AND poor drivers it's still likely to be fast enough for any ADSL connection.

Download speeds also depend on contention and the sites speed too.
