Hey, is there any kind of night/weekend school to go to over a few weeks to learn how to be able to service your car and basically know the basics about finding the problem with it and fixing it?
    thanx

I'm in the middle of doing such a course up in Plunkett College in Whitehall. Great course for beginners but includes a basic grounding in everything from auto-elec stuff (theory, changing a battery, coding radios etc.) to servicing it yourself to doing your own pre-nct prep. One night a week for ten weeks and only €85.

I'm really enjoying it, give them a call in the morning but i think they only run it now and again in September.

Here's a list of courses for Dublin. If Wicklow suits you better you can do a search for this area too.
