    I had a lot of problems with S3 Standby.
    It worked by pressing the on/off button but not after a sched recording.

    After search/asking on other forums, I got this software.

    It's a screen saver -that works by monitoring your pc.
    After a recorded show etc the pc goes below a threshold (cpu/hd/net go below a set value) and the screen saver aka s3 standby kicks in.

    I have used this over the last few days and it works a treat.

    Appologies if this is common knowledge.

    I will load up my settings for this over next few days.
