Its nearly as easy to take the ferry to the U.K to get it serviced. In my experiences with any unusual or high performance car, you take it to a marque guru who comes highly recommended only to find they haven't a clue and charge you a fortune and your car comes back worse than it went in. I have experienced this with Porsche, Mercedes and Aston Martins to name but a few I'm sorry to say.

On a similar note, not that it will affect me, but where do people buy Ferrari's and Lambo's, and in turn get them serviced, in this country? Do you just go into a Fiat dealer and tell him you want an 06 612 scagletti?

As I said in my previous post there are a lot of guys who haven't a clue about fixing but know everything about charging out there. Some of the specialist garages fly in mechanics for the U.K. and even Italy to service cars here but you pay dearly for the privilege, its probably cheaper to drive to the U.K. if you have business there and get your car serviced and get to give it a blast on the roads there without having to look over your shoulder too much like you do here.

is see that des cullen in dublin and kellys in wicklow have all kind of motoring exotica, but like you say where do the owners have these cars maintained

maybe there are some dealerships up north at all??

Those TVR's are fairly bulletproof, big old engines and transmissions,
