Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think they have done it before. But I've no idea what for. So they can talk to the lines men or what ever?

The Rugby refs do it, so shouldn't be a problem.

Nobody said it was a problem just wondering what they are used for.

It must be for talking to the Assistants and the 4th official during the game. Good idea I think

the linesman i nthe arsenal juve game didnt seem to be wearing any headphones. must be just to talk to the 4th official. or maybe they;ve secretly brought in video replays.

hmm is it possible its for translation? like maybe the ref doesnt speak enough languages to answer all the players questions ie french, italian, english etc etc aswell as talk to the linesman, who possibly speaks a different language also?

he must be waiting on an important call so he's going hands free, must be. the translation one seems viable

Refs dont have to explain them selfs to players when the give a decision. Maybe some times when the players get warnings it might be handy to have a translator if you dont speak the language.

I myself think its to speak to the 4th offical.

There was a report recently saying the UEFA were gona trial the rugby still ref + mic but I dunno if that was just tabloid crap

Watching the Lyon V Milan game last night and one of the assistants definitely had a microphone as well
