I am thinking of buying this package. How is the coverage for Ireland ? Is it practical to use in an in-car setting with a notebook ?

I've used Autoroute 2005 with the Laptop & receiver but that's for holidays in a motorhome. Excellent system abroad but never really bother in Ireland as the laptop gets in the way, lacks battery life and risky to leave lying in the car.
