    SO the el paso times web site has been shut down due to a court case been filed against them , first one in this country. There is a meeting on sunday about it. What do people think of this ?

    As a result of very serious legal documents being served on us the El Paso website will be closed down in the next number of days. Unfortunately this situation is out of our hands at this present time. The site may also go on to make Irish legal history as it is the first case of its kind in this legal jurisdiction. Unfortunately we cannot go into further details at the moment. We may be in a position to discuss this matter at the forum meeting in the Imperial Hotel this Sunday at 4.30 which all are welcome to attend. Thank you for all your support.

    Well yer man had an axe to grind with several local businessmen and wasn't lax about printing anything he could dig up about them, so it's probably that; no doubt he printed the wrong (or the right!) thing about someone with enough money to take it to a court that can issue closing notice...the whole thing about internet jurisdiction has to come into play though...oh and whoever he is will become a matter of public record if it ends up in court, so it won't end up in court, and that's the end of the site.
    Meh, I quit reading it months back...okay so it was free and it beat the sh*t out of the argus but tbh I really could care less what goes on in this sh*thole town.
