Butt's showing his former self atm, doing great in midfield. I'm praying :) Chelsea playing bad, but still not looking great for Brum.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

    ht 0-0.

wonder will we see the triple subs of essien, cole and crespo at ht or will he wait, either way, i can see it coming very quick

Pathetic diving from Robben yet again, what a ********. Some effort from Tebily, great save by Cech to keep it out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

Quite suprised at that midfield, but lets hope it pays off.

Ruud didn't have a great game last week, Saha probably deserves to be on. This is a huge test for Saha, but an even bigger one for United, we absolutely have to win.

    ----

1 min + extra time left, so close !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy ****, Crespo was so close, unreal!
Carvalho just missed a complete and utter sitter! How the hell did he miss it

Good grief how have Chelsea not won this game? G'wan Brum.

    Exellent!

Should Duff put in a request to leave Chelsea? His career is in danger of imploding.

    Mike.

    ft 0-0

great result, last sat night the gap was 15, could be 7 tonight. united need the 3 points today. chelsea are faltering, is it too late though?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,391 ✭✭✭arbeitsscheuer

Amazing. If Birmingham can hold them... Well... The title race aint over, anyway.

    Reel em in Utd!

    Never thought I'd say that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Duff has a woeful game today imo, hasn't been on form for Chelsea :) at all this season. I'd imagine he is going to be replaced along with SWP this summer.

I just can't believe that result, I had written that game off as a nothing cause Brum are doing so badly lately!

On a side note, Brighton play Milwall today in a huge huge huge huge championship game. Both teams have to win, so any team that doesn't win is probably going to go down. Come on the Seagulls!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,916 ✭✭✭Brian017

7 points if United win today with Chelsea to play. COULD be an interesting end to the season yet.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

Fair play to Brum that's how you turn around a season. I won't say anything about the league being back on but it does make things a lot more exciting. United will have to just concentrate on their own games now.

    !

is he playing for Utd too ?

Terrible stuff from chelsea today, poor games from Drogba, Lampard, Robben and dufferr, we must have had 20+ shots on goal and nothing to show for it, really do need a striker who can consistently score.

on the plus side, it could make the title race a bit more exciting for all u utd fans.

uniteds next 2 games are tough.

    away to bolton today
then home to arsenal next sunday(maybe champions league distraction)
    home to sunderland
    away to spurs
home to boro> this will be refixed to the week after the chelsea game
    away to chelsea
    home to charlton

chelsea have no "easy" game left and as was pointed out, if fulham and now brum can get points off them in 2 weeks, why cant anybody else.

    chelsea

    away to west ham
away to bolton> 2 very dodgy games
    home to everton
    home to united
    away to newcastle

i there is no reason why they cant drop points in these
    its united form that matters
chelsea will drop more points, mark my words

BBC has this handy tool for predicting the outcome of the Premiership season:
    Premiership Predictor
Only thing is, a few matches are missing, as they don't know the exact dates yet (fixtures have been rearranged for Arse and Chel, amongst others, because of Champs League and FA Cup games respectively).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

I wouldn't be 100% sure of that, you never know with Chelsea. All United can do is win every game from now until the end of the season, that's what we gotta do. If we do that, we have a chance.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 259 ✭✭OTliddy

    Man Utd
    Bolton (A)
    Arsenal (H)
    Sunderland (H)
    Tottenham (A)
    Middlesbrough (H)
    Chelsea (A)
    Charlton (H)

    Chelsea
    West Ham (H)
    Bolton (A)
    Everton (H)
    Man Utd (H)
    Newcastle (A)

Both run-ins are very tricky, but a few points:
As we saw today in the birmingham game, even the "bad teams" can be the trouble. Is see Middlesbrough as a dodgy fixture for man utd

Newcastle game on the last day of the season, wont it be Alan Shearer's last ever game ever? Newcastle will surely be trying to make it a good one for him, even if it may mean giving the title to united

<edit> got that from bbc site but it doesnt add up

pompey 1-0 up already v fulham
spurs 1-0 down to newcastle, lee bowyer

just looking at spurs fixtures, they have a horrible run in
arsenal to get the last champ league spot
the uefa cup sports wide open
