    I adore Belly but only know 'swoon' from her solo work

    what album should i get?

    Beautysleep isnt bad

    not as good as belly's albums though

    I agree with the above, beautysleep is her best solo work. It's not that it's not as good as her Belly work it's just that it's different, gone are the angsty fairytales and in its place in beautysleep are direct lyrics showing an emotional maturity, and - unusual for indie musicians- happiness. It's a great pick-me-up when you're tired and run down. Not all the songs are great - you'll find yourself skipping a couple at times- but I think it's well worth it if you like Belly.
