Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fair City is to feature an attempt to attack Shannon airport by an Irish al-Qaeda cell in a one hour special to be broadcast later this year.

Okay I lied but they were actually going to before they had a moment of clarity and realised such japes belong in Spooks not a soap. As todays Sunday Tribune article notes there are no Muslim characters in Fair City. So elbowing some in for a single episode would be ridculous.

    What were they thinking!

    Mike.

Yeah, seriously fair city walks a fine line in my opinion but thats just desperate.
On a more positive note if they were to air an episode like that Al-Qaeda might take offence and bomb the fair city set.:p

My contacts in RTE say that's exactly why they decided not to. They are planning an end-of-season finale where all the buildings burn down, so they can't afford to lose them yet.

    :D
