speed test

    i have a 1 meg internet connection ( wireless) went to www.speedtest.ie only to find my download speed was 312 kbps and up load 127 kbps, how fast should it be. i noticed when laying css today i was gettind a lot of lag.

    Mine says 2.25megs on that website, but from heatnet i download at 359KB/s - So it's far from accurate. Go to sourceforge.com, find any decent sized file on there to download, and select heanet as the mirror. That will give you the peak of your connection.

    You dont need to complete the download but wait till it has steadied out.

    Tried that and it remained steady at 1200kb/ps using a download manager.

    Without using a download manager I was getting a steady 800kb/ps

    hi pete, i went to download that file my transfer rate was berween 58 and 63 kbps, it would take me almost 3 hours to dwonload, what should my download speed be:confused:
