Tatoo or not to tatoo.....

.... how original but hey... I really want a tatoo but I don't know what i want... can anybody recommend tips or even ideas for a 1st tatoo. I'll do anything within reason, I'm not going to spell out my sanity here i'll either agree or disagree with sugestions or not reply to some.

what are you here for? you just expect ppl to spent their time posting ideas as you go through them? we dont know who you are, what you're interests are and just wanting a tattoo isnt a good reason to get one.
heres a tip
dont get anything you'll look back on in a year or 50 years time and go "omg that looks so dated", dont get a name slapped on you, dont get it done on a area where you wouldnt be proud for it to be seen regardless of weight gain or age and for the love of god give yourself at least 6months after to decide what you want to keep milling it over. i know that sounds ultra cauious but hey its not a haircut or a small unnoticable piercing. im not very well informed about tattoos or piercings but i've enough common sense to know how to advise you.

I wouldn't of even bothered tryin to advise them...what's the use. The don't know what they want, but are ready to run along and get a tattoo anyway. Therefore, probably going to regret it. Who cares anyway, it's not our body that we're wrecking, with some pointless piece of flash. What made me laugh those,is the 'post suggestions, i'll either agree or disagree...' yup..like we're all gonna sit around, come up with ideas until your happy. Some people eh. :rolleyes:

that is good advice, at the moment i want over 25 tattoos, but im waiting for two years before i deicide anything for two reasons

i might not like the idea in two years

and

im only 16 so i would prefer to wait to get it done in a good place (hopfully snakebite if they are still open in two years)

haha, ok...you get that done complete with the glass tattooed on the back of your head of course!!and I'll get hardcore tattooed across my chest in big bold print like we talked about before...cos then that must make it true!!!

oh..and on a seperate note, crazydude your probably right to wait, especially for your first tattoo. I waited two and a half years before I got my first one cos I wanted to be sure.I ended up getting it done when I was 17..have it done a year last week, now that I think of it...I still love it..gonna add to it though.

if i could get it done at 17 maybe, but 18 is better...that way my parents cant freak, im thinking about doing a deal with them, if i get a book publshed i can get any tattoo or piercing (withing reason and exluding genital piercing)

I say just go and do it anyway..if your 17 you should have no prob getting most piercings...once you start they get used to it and they shut the hell up...well acually they never shut up, but they get more used to it i guess.

it made me feel good when i ran into a guy i dont like (he's freinds with a freind so i have to hang around with him most of the time) and his brother were walking home, his brother, who is like 25, went to get his tongue pierced but chickended out.

that's bull..I work, and surprisingly enough wear clothes...hand webs are simple once you get someone who knows what they'r doing to pierce it for you. I don't have any trouble with the one I have left. I'll let the tissue heal a bit on my right hand and get it done again though. i feel unbalanced...

ah, yeah, I'll get my nape pierced eventually...got bigger fish to fry. I'll get paddy to do it at some stage..no one in cork does them..well no where GOOD in cork does them...kinda want a few though..maybe three.or else five..i cant decide.I like the idea of 5, getting bigger as they go down..yup, yup, yup...probably get that done during the summer alright...
kinda toying with the idea of some labias lately though...actually I have been for months, I'm just not sure anyone does them here...or if they do..I'd let them...hmm..might check it out during the week...as weird as it sounds though...I'm kinda more comfortable with a guy doing it then I would be a girll....I'm not sure why...

Yeah pornstar ive been itching for a new piercing or two lately, mostly due to the fact that a few of mine rejected on me. Cant get anything done yet though cos of stupid american football season! argh!!! Anything i would get done would either get ripped out or reject.
