did anyone go to the exhibition for property investment in citywest this weekend? what did you think and do you come across any decent offers? There was stuff in bulgaria for less then 20,000euro - seemed a bit suspicious to me! But also interesting stuff on the Croatian islands. Im considering that or the big spanish company marina d'or who i thought were very impressive. They are putting in a huge amount of cash in the next 10 years and I think its a winner although it might be out of my budget range 200K+. I know a chap who bought there about a year and a half ago and his place has gone up 70 grand in value. I saw a stand on Romania which I didnt get a chance to check out - did anyone talk to those guys? Im thinking down the line it could be good, but it might be a bit early to do it now....? any thoughts?

I bought in Croatia a couple of years ago, North of Dubrovnik, it's gone pricey, but location location location etc....
If you can get the right property then I think there's still alot of growth as well. They are bang on course (after Gotovina arrest) for full entry into EU by 2009/10 and economy is on the up, unemployment on way down, tourism up .... future is promising. Property was higher than Italy pre-war, so still has plenty of catching up to do yet. Beautiful country.

If looking for market it's infancy I think Romania (Black Sea) is definitely worth looking at, as is Bulgaria, but do the research on Bulgaria, keep away from ultra commercialism like Sunny Beach.

Montenegro is beautiful, and holds a vote of Independence this summer to leave Serbia, which is expected to pass.... which may lead to a few street protests etc... but with Miosovic dead, and Mladic expected to be turned into The Hague next week, then it should all go smoothly.....just a few extremists make make a point.

PM me El Rifle with the info on Croatia, I know the scene pretty well at this stage.
