    AMD 64 3700+ San Diego
    1gig Corsair Value RAM
    7900GT

I currently have my cpu at ~2.8ghz (252*11) Amazing when you consider the RAM I'm using! 31 in super pi! Stock cooling, I'm hitting 40c doing normal work, about 48-50 after some games, super pi, and 3dmark.

The 7900GT clocked to 560/790 before it craps out. Gets 20k in 3DMark 03.

    It's weird because I got 20k in 3DMark 03 at 2.2ghz and I'm getting the same at 2.8 :(

Any advice. Should I be worrying about having my ram at 250mhz, especially considering what it is? Cheers!

If your Prime stable then your mem is grand.

I think the CPU score is ignored in 3dMark, once the graphics card is fed with enough data the CPU wont affect the outcome, so at 2.2ghz your processer was able to keep up with your graphics card.

Thats a great overclock on Value ram, and once its running at 1T it should perform great;)

Is DDR1500 the stock memory speed for a 7900gt?

What do you get in AM3?

And run the OCCT test, if there is an instability it will find it;)

heres a wierd thing, I used 3Dmark 03 on my AMD 64 X2 and it flys on the high graphics, but when it comes to a CPU test it slows to about 3 fps.

Thats normal Sparky, It makes the CPU render the demo, and they are not designed to render games so they struggle

The 7900 GT is 450/1320 stock.

    I had it at 550/1570!

For reference, the 7900gtx is clocked at 650/1600

Ah thats ok, I was just freaked out by it because it flew along when I used it on my old A socket motherboard about a year ago.

    93k in AM3, my mem timings are pretty loose. 9-4-4-3 2T :\

Great score, Try run the memory at 1T if possible........

Ran it at 1T and just broke 95,000

    1T is great:p

Try tighten up some timings too if possible, try get tras and trp and trcd down a small bit

Tried that, bad things happened ;)

    My 06 3dmark hasn't improved since moving from 2.2 to 2.8. Same 1100 score. Pretty shameful :(

Actually my entire score is subpar, 4550 or something?!!
