Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Microsoft announces that they made this free :

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/default.mspx

And, the Virtual PC is going to be redundant, I wonder if this server edition makes any use to home users?

Thank you for your interest in evaluating Windows Server 2003 R2 and Windows Server 2003 with SP1 for Itanium-based Systems. Trial software for 32-bit and 64-bit versions is available in English for 180-day evaluation.

IIRC most previous server versions have been available as a trial version, 2000 or 2003 was enterprise level, so you could not install a copy of standard server over the top. And with the NT4 demo version you got 1 hour warning the 120 day trial was over. And a real gotcha - if you used that CD to make boot disks then even if you used a legit CD you still got a trial version

just had a look at the page - it's enterprise too, so you would have to wipe if you want to use standard later..

Seems to work fairly well on a x64 system.
