    Hi,

    Has anyone ever used 1and1.com to buy domain name and to host. Prices seem very cheap. Seems to be quite a big operation. Anyone have any opinions?

    I have a big account with them. The product is top notch. Nothing can beat it for bandwidth and mb and the like that I have seen so far. The big problem I have with them is that their customer support is non excitant. Their call centre is based out in India and their ticket system is muck. Three weeks to respond to a ticket sometimes. I had a problem with my CC card before and they shut down my account without sending me any forms or emails or phone calls about it. My sites were down for about 10 days in total over it. I fixed up the card problem the next day too but it still took them ages to sort out the mess. Very bad customer service. I'll be moving from them in the coming months to hostdime.



    You need to be a residnet of the UK to get an account anyway. I have the account in my aunts name but I pay the account myself.
