My girlfriend has an ipod which when it is syncd with the computer doesn't store the songs in the correct category.

The "Artists" part on the menu contains individual songs as does the "albums" part of the menu.

Songs that do not have a name attached to them e.g. Track 1 with no Artist attached it do not appear in "artists" or "albumns", however all songs appear under "songs" as you would expect.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

I have an iPod myself but have never seen anything like this.

    Please help!!!

No answers but a few questions that might give us a bit more insight:

    - What iPod model
    - Is she running the latest firmware?
    - What software is she using to transfer the music to her iPod?
    - Do the mp3s have full id3 tags?
    - What version are the id3 tags?
    - Have you tried the mp3s on your iPod?

    - The Model is a 30GB colour 4th Gen
    - Firmware?
    - Softwrae = itunes
    - id3 tags? If you mean do they have the full titles etc then yes
    - no idea what version the id3 tags are
    - I have not tried it on my ipod.

What we did was just add two albums from cds to the computer and sync the ipod

    ???
