ASPARTAME FREE chewing gum?

Hi all,

Without getting into the debate on ASAPARTAME, Im after a chewing gum without it. preferably sugar free. something with sucralose maybe?

Anyone any tips?

I saw a Xylitol gum in the Asian Market yesterday. It's called "Lotte Xylitol" and has an apple mint flavour and was about 6e for a tub.

The language on the package was Korean but I was able to find the ingredients in English from the following site

Can you tell us in what shop you saw this product?

Also how do you know that there is no aspartame under the term "flavor"?

I am using Xylichew gum for now, it does not contain aspartame. I read a study that showed Lotte Xylitol Gum that had funoran and calcium phosphate actually helped remineralize teeth, so I sought it out. I could not find the full ingredients list for the Lotte gum on their website, so I searched and found it here: http://komposisi.blogsome.com/2010/04/15/lotte-xylitol-sugar-free-dental-support-chewing-gum/

Perhaps the ingredients list for another country could get away with saying "flavor", but in the US, Aspartame must be conspicuously labelled. I just emailed Lotte and asked if they have a preparation without aspartame and I am waiting to hear back. I don't really see the point to adding aspartame to it. The Xylichew gum tastes great, but doesn't have the funoran and calcium phosphate like the Lotte Xylitol gum does. Hopefully Lotte has a preparation without aspartame.

As far as I know, if it says "Contains a source of phenylalanine", it means aspartame.

This is something i was looking for, It's near impossible to find gum that isn't smothered in aspartame.

I have come across some Ginger Chewing Gum that was Aspartame free, and DELICIOUS! It was intended to be to quit smoking but I fell in love with it just for flavor. FDA NOT APPROVED! lol
