Satellite Broadband

    want to get broadband for the summer to play source online.
    however the only option available to me is satellite braodband, just wondering anyone has had any experience with it?

    the best deal i saw was at www.broadbandwherever.ie

    Satelite broadband suffers from high ping times. This is not ideal for gaming and may cause noticable lag. Just a heads up. ;)

    yeah, you totally wont be able to game on a satelite link. Only leech.
    Im not sure, maybe you could try to get on the Irish WAN?

    Satellite is next to useless for gaming due to its latency ...where are you located..there maybe other avenues open to you ?

    Do NOT use satellite for gaming. <- horses mouth. (latency free satellite...Hmmmm :D)

    Where are you based by the way? Are you sure wireless is not an option for you?

    Irish broadband are in the newbridge area

    Irishwan are group of like minded people who share their broadband connection ...i am not sure that they have any coverage in Newbridge though

    i checked irish broadband before, i am about 3 miles outside their coverage,
    and Irish Wan doesnt cover me either:(
