Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anybody know if Autechre's sold out? I've been hmming and hawing about going (I love them, but there's something else I'm thinking about heading to and I have it from a fairly reliable source that they're playing later in the summer anyway.)

It's not sold out but they're not on til near midnight so you might be able to go to your something else and then Autechre (I'm going to see Whitehouse first)

Well the something else is in Mayo, so not likely, sounds good though.

Nah, don't think they're playing the Picnic, it was rumoured but I doubt it.

Anyone know what they're playing live these days? Is it their older stuff or the new glitchy sh1te?

Well all the live sets I've heard from them have just been mish-mashes of stuff I've never even heard before.

I did a review of this over at my blog at http://soundtracksforthem.blogspot.com Have to admit i kinda liked it, bit more than i thought. I knew what i was paying for so no loss there. Theres some discussion on the gig at http://www.infactah.com/2006/04/autechre-belong-in-art-hall-not-dance.html too..

It was an alright gig. Enjoyable and better then their recent studio output but still far from their best.

thought they were very good. Didnt think the crowd was that good though.

Not sure what people expected, but if you hear any of their live sets even from years back, they never did faitfull reproductions of their album tracks.

If it had have been louder, longer and the crowd were more into it it would have been amazing, as it was, probably one of the better gigs that will be on all year.

I thought the crowd was really into it. Well the crowd around me was.

Yeah, probably being a bit mean, tbh.

Have been to gigs where crowds didn't even react when hi-hats were dropped in/out, and it certainly wasn't that bad.
