Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When The Real World first went out on Mtv here, bbc 2 (or maybe c4) tried to copy it, although they tried on the cheap. Think they stuck a few people in a house and filmed them in the usual way, generaly I think they were students, but turned out to be made of some of the biggest and most irritating fools around.

I can't remember too much, but remember there was a girl in it who had never heard of adolf hitler.

Yup on BBC 2 got cut short after they realised it was shít. While the real world was set in lofts in Manhattan, and Cool houses in San Fran or converted warehouses on Seattle's wharf the BBC made did with a bog standard student flat in Manchester. And hilariously didn't have a crew on location. Instead if the flatmates thought something like a row was going to happen they'd ring up the bbc who, half an hour, later would send round a camera crew to film the results, which didn't let the argument seem staged or awkward no sireee bob. Oh and she didn't know who Hitler was, rather she never heard of the Holocaust. Or so she claimed afterwards. Front page news that week.

Thats right, didn't know about the crew not being there, just remember the overwhelming crapness of the programme. It had a second season though, and I'm pretty sure people kept lobbing stones through their windows. (or maybe that happened just once)
