Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know we've got a few regular punter here, this is for your brains.

Would it be worth betting every week on the top team of the day ie Chelsea right now, obviously the odds will be short but if I betted to win every game and say placed 100 euro a go would it be worth the risk over a season?

    Mike.

Twould be an interesting experiment to carry out if you had a specific bank for it and you were disciplined enough.

I think I'd prefer to take the 4-1 on Ronaldinho to score the first goal in every game though.

the odds reflect the underlying statistics so there very little margin to earn more than break even.if a team on top hadnt been on top for last few seasons there may be a chance to earn above break even returns.

Chelsea have lost 3 matches this season and drawn 4 so far. THat 700 euro your down.

Odds on them beating West ham this weekend are 2/7. 100euro makes you a profit of 28euro.

Lets say they win all there games remianing, and you earn 28euro for each win. Thats 36-7= 29. 29x28= 812.

My maths is shocking, so i could wrong. But thats a 112 euro profit. I dont know if they will win the rest of their games, or if the average winnings would be 28 euro a season. But the return isnt really worth it.

I *HAD* quiet a lot of money in my paddy power account from football betting and i use a scheme every single week to come out on top. I always look at the top team(s) from a few countrys and bet on that. Now for instance. My double tonight is shels and shamrock rovers to win. Both teams are 4/7 with paddy powers so not great for the few pound so i couped that with Dundalk to beat Galway last night @ 2/1 brings the bet up a bit. I threw on €24 and it will pay about €160.edit Thanks very mush paddy power

Thats just this week. I suppose a money in the bank bet up until last week was celtic really. I had €400 on celtic to beat hearts the other night at 4/9. I just felt my account needed topping up and it did.

So really if your going to back teams with short odds bet big. My account has always been in the plus with football / sporting betting its the blackjack / poker that kills me.
