How many shots are in a naggin, shoulder, 700ml and litre?

THere has to be more than 6 in a naggin, I think 8 but I'm not sure.

2 gills = 1/2pint = naggin = 8 imperial shorts @ 1/4 gill
4 gills = 1 pint = shoulder = 16
i'm not sure what's in the larger bottles in imperial but it should be easy enough to work out from the above.

Don't forget the "baby". I think it was 1/2 naggin therefore four shots

There's 35.5ml in a shot, so once you have the size of the bottle, you can go from there.

I think the bottles are sized as follows:

Baby - 50ml
Naggin - 200ml
Half-Bottle - 350ml (I've never heard the expression Shoulder, always "half-bottle".)
etc etc etc.

Just shows what a rip-off vodka is in a pub. say 2 of you have 10 vodka & cokes each. Other night it was €6.25 for a vodka & 200ml of coke.
That is 1 2 litre each and 1 bottle of vodka, so €11.50 each, but costs €62.50 in the pub for the same.

Each shot of vodka only has about the same alcohol as a 1/2pint.

It's worse than that, your maths are off. There are 20 shots per bottle.
So at €6.25 for a Vodka and Coke it would cost €125.00 for the 1 bottle / 20 drinks.
Then don't forget you're looking at retail prices for the Vodka and Coke when you make your comparisons. Imagine what the publican actually pays when he buys in bulk from his suppliers.

I was suggesting a normal night out or in, 2 people going splits on a bottle, 10 shots each for about €10 (€20 per bottle in an offie), and a 2 litre of coke each, about €1.50-1.60. So about €11.50 for 10 shots and 10x200ml at home, but €62.50 in the pub for the same each. so yes, €125 for a full bottle, I was just pointing out that it costs the average person about €50 more to drink in a pub, in some other thread I was mentioning this and why many would be saving money by going to a BYOB/corkage resturaunt.
