Another classic insurance thread

I had a look through some of the earlier threads about classic insurance but i'm a little confused on the subject.

The details of what i'm planning are:

Buying a '87 bike and getting it put on classic insurance.

I am over 25 and i have full A and full B licences. I also have 1 years NCB
and a car to serve as the 'main' transport.

My main question is about the cost. Is there a cap of 350 euro for classic insurance?

AFAIK there is no fixed cost, but your insurance goes to ~25% of what it was as a 14 year old bike. Crazy really but not that much more crazy than the age 25 or 30 age breaks.
Classic insurance on my GPz sure is cheap but as it's a non-runner at the mo I have to insure a modern bike, and I'm paying top dollar :(
Carole Nash do classic insurance, but AON don't.

    Scrap the cap!

it was 390 euro by the way for any bike on classic insurance - i needed one years ncb in addition to the full a licence and being over 25. bike must also be garaged
