    Anybody know anything about types of house plants? Whats good and whats not? Cheers!

    All I know about are the ones I havent been able to kill (not green fingered :rolleyes: )
    Umbrella plants start small but after a few years will take over the room. Yukkas and those spindly ones (can someone else name) you see in *every* supermarket are really hardy too.

    I think you are talking about Dracena or "Dragon Tree".

    It depends on what you want, greenery? colour? fragrance? etc....
    Large or small?
    are there pets / children in the house? (some houseplants are rather toxic).

    is it a bonus if u can smoke them :-)

    But seriouly it takes a good 6 months to kill a yukka
