If I had a business in Ireland would it be legal for me to either rent or lease commercial vehicles from the UK to carry out work for me in Ireland? It would be using Irish employees employed by my company here to drive UK vehicles.

For you to rent or lease them would not be illegal, but for an Irish resident (ie your employees) to drive them would.
