NCT Woes

    Evening all,

Put the car through the NCT this evening for the 2nd time in 6 months (stupid money-making racket of backdating rather than postdating the tests ) and the guy failed it because the "front left tyre rod is worn" causing the wheel to seem to rattle a bit.

What's doublely annoying is that I just had the timing belt and a service done last week so I'll be calling the garage in the morning. Anyone tell me how best to approach this and how much it'll cost to sort out? (98 Mitsubishi Mirage)

    Thanks

About €25 for the tie rod,Car will need tracking afterwards though.

If you just had the car serviced, and it failed the NCT for a worn track rod end.....look for another garage.
