Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it true that Podge was based on Sister Anna from St.Davids???
I mean the similarity is inescapable!

that was the rumour in St. Davids when Podge first appeared on The Den.

The guys who do Zig & Zag & Podge & Rodge are locals but I don't know if they actually went to David's.

Morrison, originally from Greystones, Co Wicklow, and O'Hara, who hails from Bettystown, Co Meath, first met while studying graphic design in Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design.

Ah bettystown. I read an interview with them years ago in the Drogheda independent and presumed one of them was from the local area.

Mr Morrison and his brother went to St.Davids in Greystones (I also believe that the charachters could be based on the late Sister Anna). Both grew up to become famous charachters on RTE2. Ciaran-"Rodge" and Joey-"Dustin" both at present reside in Greystones.
