    The annual Trinity College Relays will take place on the 26th of April. The event is open to all athletes, male and female with free entry on the day.
    The timetable is as follows: (B and G are invitation races for schools only, all other events are open to all athletes).
    4.45 p.m. Registration
    5.00 p.m. 4 x 100 (B)
    5.10 p.m. 4 x 100 (G)
    5.20 p.m. 4 x 400 (B)
    5.35 p.m. 4 x 400 (G)
    5.55 p.m. 4 x 200 (Mixed)
    6.10 p.m. 4 x 800 (M)
    6.25 p.m. 3 x 800 (W)
    6.40 p.m. 4 x 100 (M)
    6.50 p.m. 4 x 100 (W)
    7.00 p.m. Open 800m
    7.10 p.m. 3 x 1500 (M)
    7.30 p.m. 4 x 400 (W)
    7.45 p.m. 4 x 400 (M)
    8.00 p.m. Open Mile
    8.20 p.m. Presentation

    What type of times would you expect for the mile? How many athletes?
    As the meet is on a Wednesday, could one register for the 8pm mile after work e.g. 6:30pm?

    There is usually a very varied standard with strong middle distance athletes to recreational joggers, it was won in 4.57 last year, the first few times can be seen here:

    The number of athletes is usually pretty big, last year we had more than the 14 listed but everyone left before we could get their names!!! The competition is run on a grass track by the way.

    The registration opens at 4.45, mainly for the schools, and you can register after that, its mainly so we know if we need heats for the sprint relays. Hope that helps,
