DHTML window

I am looking for a pop script (javascript/dhtml) that will popup a div/window - but will also disable the parent window, so that until the user close the popup or finishes working with it, they cannot access other control in the parent window.

Any ideas where to find one - did find a dhtml window script, but it didnt disable the background

The type of popup window you want is called "modal" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modal_window). It forces you to ok or cancel or whatever before control of the previous window is given back to you. Web browsers only support this natively with alert, prompt, and confirm boxes. they are listed here:
