Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I have a wireless network set up in my house but it doesnt quite cover the whole house, is there any way i can use a second wireless router i am not using to boost my signal so the whole house can be used.

    Or can i use the 2nd router to connect a pc that doesnt have a wireless card like this

    Modem->Wireless Router->***********->2nd wireless router->computer

    *** = wireless network.

    so can i do both things or even one of them? thanks!!

    Post up the make and model of the wifi routers you want to use and I'll double check.

    Short answer is yes, set the 2nd wifi router to have the same ssid as the first and configure the 1st router to allow the 2nd one connect (this varies from router to router hence my earlier Q).

    As regards the PC, if you can get router2 to connect to router1 then the answer is yes, just plug it in via ethernet (preferred) or usb. Make sure the dhcp is done from the router connected to modem to prevent ip conflicts.

    Can't tell you more without knowing the specific router model.

    GL :D

    There are a few things you need to setup to allow the Belkin to connect to the CNET:

    Set the Belkin to the same channel, same SSID, same encription level & key (will have to be WEP as Belkin doesn't support WPA). Recommend turning off encription while setting this up, makes your life much easier, just enable it after you confirm working link.

    Turn off NAT, DHCP feature in Belkin (IP confilcts)

    Ensure SSID broadcast on CNET is enabled while setting up.

    If you can't get this to work try replaceing the aerials (current ones shlould be 2db) with higher gain ones, might solve the blackspot.

    Good luck with this, post up how you get on.
